i quite enjoy op-shopping in Mackay most of the time. some are a little over-priced - gaudy 80s wedding dresses are in the multiples of hundreds !
but i enjoy that they are all within 20 minutes drive of each other at the most - and there is such a plethora that i don't even end up going to most in one day because i become a little exhausted.
i think they are also a little more untapped than some of the inner-city ones that i have checked out in Brisbane.
i had some minor luck the other day with some (hopefully) great summer layering pieces. i was feeling super open-minded on the day which was great, because you certainly have to remove them from their grandma context to appreciate the opportunities that i believe they present..
i picked up this summer over-shirt / jacket that came with a hilarious matching singlet (below) that i think will actually be great with a more under-50s-looking piece on the bottom half - i'm imagining something along the lines of simple denim or white shorts at this stage.
this metallic monstrocity makes me extremely excited. perhaps as it's a little bit Olsen.

I wish I had a knack for op-shopping! I just don't know where to start... the detail on that first white top is very pretty
